Faculty Council
- Faculty Council is the representative body for the academic faculty in shared governance at CSU. The Faculty Council has jurisdiction over the general educational policies of the University and passes all rules and regulations necessary to University government.
- Faculty Council meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month, and are open to the CSU community. In addition, Faculty Council Meet & Greets and Q&A sessions are opportunities to engage with employee council leadership and members.
EnCircle
- EnCircle is designed to support CSU faculty members through a mentorship network across a variety of disciplines and appointment types. The program is open to faculty of all identities and career stages.
- Registration opens each semester.
TILT New Faculty Offerings
The Institute for Learning and Teaching (TILT) offers a range of programs and resources designed to support new faculty as they build their teaching practice at CSU. New faculty are welcome to engage the following offerings:
- Fall Ramp-Up — TILT-hosted interactive sessions during Fall Ramp-Up (Aug. 11–12) introduce new faculty to CSU’s instructional technology and teaching resources, Canvas tools, and instructional support services.
- Teaching Squares — A low-stakes peer observation program that pairs faculty with colleagues across disciplines to observe each other’s teaching and reflect together on practice. A great way to build community while sharpening your teaching.
- Early-Career Fellows Program — A cohort-based fellowship supporting early-career faculty in developing their teaching identity and philosophy through monthly sessions, mentorship, and structured reflection. Apply for the Early-Career Fellows Program.
- Best Practices in Teaching (BPiT) Courses — Facilitated online courses covering foundational and advanced pedagogical practices, open to faculty at any career stage.
- Teaching Workshops — Ongoing workshops throughout the year on topics such as active learning, inclusive teaching, assessment design, and use of AI in the classroom.
- GROW Instructional Development Cohort — Offered through the CSU System in partnership with TILT, this fully online cohort brings together early-career instructors from CSU Fort Collins, CSU Pueblo, and CSU Global to explore intentional course design, asset-based engagement, classroom belonging, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Participants who complete the fall workshop series and spring implementation project receive a CSU System certificate of completion. Apply for GROW.
